Start practicing the life you really want
This practice encourages a journey inward, aligning with your truest self through meditation and mindful visualization. By engaging daily in this process, you develop awareness of your thoughts and emotions, fostering positive energy. The exploration of gratitude and release from negativity leads to transformation, unlocking innate healing potential for a fulfilling life.
By now we know that ships of built they don’t just come in all by themselves. We create the life that we have through how we think feel and act. If science shows us that we can create negative experiences and even disorder and disease with the power of thought alone then we need to know that the opposite is also true. We can create the life we envision for ourselves. A life that has a purpose and meaning and the life that we used to transform ourselves, others and then the world into more loving peaceful productive and passionate states of being. This is what the mystics, monks and prophets have taught us all along. Proverbs 29 teaches that “Where there is no vision, the people perish”.
The Mindful Path to Creating your Perfect Life… Is it something we stumble upon, a lucky alignment of circumstance? Or is it something we weave, thread by thread, breath by breath? I’ve come to believe it’s the latter. And it often begins not with doing, but with being. With that quiet moment before the world clamours for our attention, that space we carve out, not as a routine, but as a ritual.
This isn’t about checking a box on a to-do list. It’s about touching the hem of something larger than ourselves. It’s about remembering, before the day’s demands take hold, who we are at our core.
Key Concepts:
- Body-Heart-Mind Connection: Mark emphasizes the inter-connectedness of our thoughts, feelings, and physical sensations. By paying contemplative, creative attention to these signals, we can gain valuable insights into our true desires and needs. When we put all of who we are together we become yoga or union and access deeper personal power.
- Contemplation: We only get to see reality exactly as it is if we really, really want to. We need to knock and doors will open. We need to ask God and then receive. This is the universal order of things. Practicing contemplation daily will help you to live your best life, full of purpose, power and passion – just as it was created for you to live it!
- Self-Awareness: Deeply understanding yourself – your values, passions, and what truly brings you joy – is crucial for creating a fulfilling life, including your perfect day.
- Being still: Add silence into your day, even just a few minutes, to reconnect with yourself and your inner wisdom. This can be a time for reflection, meditation, or simply being present. Be still and know that I am God is a key that unlocks doorways to reality and finding yourself, and in so doing accessing your own authentic power.
- Mindful Awareness: Treating yourself with kindness and compassion is not an option. This includes being aware of your inner critic and consciously choosing more supportive and loving thoughts. Self love is the first way we come back from the nightmare of grasping for control.
INVITATIONS TO CHANGE
And how do we do this? With three gentle invitations.
First, mindfulness. Not the forced stillness of a statue, but the soft awareness of a leaf floating on a stream. Watching our thoughts drift by, not judging them, not clinging to them, but simply observing. Like clouds passing in the vast sky of our own being. This quiet observation, this gentle detachment, creates a space. A space where we can choose how we meet the day, rather than being swept away by its currents.
Then with the Creating your Perfect Life exercise, visualization. I am talking about using your extrasensory energy to create your perfect day, a day which is a target to aim for in how we wish to start creating our days.
Not just daydreaming, but feeling the future we wish to create. Seeing ourselves not just achieving, but embodying the joy, the gratitude, the love that accompanies those achievements. It’s like planting seeds in the fertile ground of our subconscious. Watering them with intention. Believing in the blossom before it appears.
And finally, emotional regulation. This is the deepest work with Creating your Perfect Life. The understanding that our emotions are not just reactions, but creations. That we can choose, in this quiet space, to cultivate the feelings we want to carry with us throughout the day. Gratitude. Joy. Love. Not as fleeting visitors, but as constant companions. It’s like tuning an instrument before a concert. Setting the tone for the music of our lives.
The Creating your Perfect Life Exercise:
- Visualization: This is a core element and we encourage you to spend time (10-30 minutes) vividly imagining your ideal day, without any limitations. Don’t worry about practicality at this stage; focus on what truly resonates with you.
- Sensory Details: Engage all your senses in this visualization. What do you see, hear, smell, taste, and feel in your perfect day? The more detailed your vision, the more powerful it becomes.
- Emotional Connection: Pay attention to the emotions you experience in your perfect day. What feelings arise as you imagine this ideal scenario? Joy, peace, excitement? These emotions are key to attracting those experiences into your life.
- No Judgment: This exercise is about exploration, not self-criticism. Allow yourself to dream freely, without judging your desires or feeling like they’re unrealistic.

This morning practice, this ritual of self-connection, isn’t just about having a good day. It’s about becoming a good day. It’s about cultivating a resilience that allows us to meet whatever arises with grace, with presence, with an open heart. It’s about remembering, each morning, that we are not just living in the world, but that we are part of it. And that the perfect day, perhaps, is simply the day we choose to be fully present within it.
How to Start to Apply the Creating your Perfect Life Ideas:
