What do we mean about God consciousness and Mind beyond matter? Let’s look at mind and matter first. Picture this scene. The table, sturdy beneath your hand, is a whisper of energy, slowed to a crawl. Its solidity, a deception. Each atom, a tiny dance of energy, vibrating at a pace too subtle for our coarse senses to perceive. The rock, impervious, a frozen river of energy, its current stilled, its flow disguised.

Even we, with our beating hearts and the flicker of thought, are a symphony of energy, a vibrant tapestry woven from the universe’s own essence. Our bodies, these vessels, temporary homes for this fleeting dance, are merely denser expressions of the same energy that animates the stars.

The illusion of separation, the illusion of solidity, a trick of the senses, a limited perception. For beneath the surface, a ceaseless flow, an inter-connectedness that binds us to every leaf, every star, every grain of sand. We are not isolated beings, but threads within the vast fabric of existence, each a unique expression of the universe’s boundless energy.

There is light we cannot see. There are things we cannot sense, most things for that matter. We can only see from red to violet and only hear a minuscule part of the sounds in the world and universe. Yet, we are not just matter, we are not just 5 sensory beings. We are spiritual beings with a soul and that soul, spirit or Sacred Self, whichever you prefer has its own set of faculties and talents, most of which we ignore and have no sense of. That is until the space, time and energy is right.

A spiritual awakening, a second birth, enlightenment, being born again or waking up to reality is what we’re all here to do. This is the evolution of your own conscious awareness. Today we want to be reminded why we are here, what we need to do here and where we are headed. You won’t know any of these things until you have a spiritual awakening. When you do what happens is the truth simply sets you free. That’s that! But it is rocket-science and spiritual science combined. The universe is not only stranger than you think, it is stranger than you can think!

The journey to God consciousness and Mind beyond matter

We are born as a single cell, just one cell, called a zygote. Then we end up as millions of cells being born and dying off every day. Fine. That is the physical human experience, but we are not just a physical human experience. We are spiritual beings having a human experience just like a star becomes a supernova or dies off in an explosion, so it is with us. We either continue creating and expanding or we don’t.

Now zero is an interesting number. So is one. The two are the binary system that govern the laws of nature. Everything is made up of zero’s and one’s. Now, zero cannot be divided. Likewise as soon as we have a one we have infinite potential. Just like you. You are action potential created from one drop of protoplasm, one single cell that develops into trillions. You have infinite potential just like those cells. All things relative, the binary system is just like everything else. Light and dark, night and day, white and black, rose and thorn all have opposites with a little of each within them.

That is how it is with your personality and your spirituality. Your body and your soul and your energy and matter. They are the same thing in different forms like energy and matter that appear different because of their different forms of energy and vibration. One is localised and one is everywhere just like you. If you use your imagination you can head out to the other side of the globe for example. So there we have a little background on nothing and something on seen and unseen and energy and matter that will serve our purpose of exploring who we really are here. This is the work of understanding God consciousness and Mind beyond matter.

Consciousness is the ultimate reality and it is our purpose in the universe. Becoming reality is our business! Our purpose is to become more and more conscious. Consciousness is not the limited mind or intellect. That is for sure. Just look at our history, our story, and you’ll see we are not very conscious or intelligent and thus we are not always fulfilling our purpose of becoming more conscious. How do we know that this is really and truly true? Because that is all that is happening on this big blue marble. Nothing else is really happening as we flick through the centuries. We have nothing else to show for it so there is all the scientific evidence we will ever need.

The science of finding your spiritual self

Life is a journey that is something I called the science of finding our spiritual selves. We move from the inauthentic persona that takes us a few decades to create towards something more authentic and more powerful. Life in the beginning it’s very much about the physical and the psychological. At some point both of these don’t suffice or nourish the soul and at that tipping point a conscious awakening starts to occur. In other words our emotions get louder and start speaking the language of the spiritual, the unknown and the unseen. Life gets mystical and unbelievably large. So large that many are driven to near madness, suicide or death.

Falling in love with Consciousness

Amor Conscientia – the love of pure consciousness. The Roman stoic philosopher Seneca used the word Conscientia in his writings to describe the idea of shared  knowledge, collective consciousness, being in the know or privy to, joint knowledge and knowledge found within oneself; which is simply spiritually going inwards to seek the truth. In contemplative practice this love of higher, deeper and broader consciousness is what people seek to experience. The more we are able to love pure reality and everything else just as it is, the more we love the Light, Truth, Courage, Justice and our other innate virtues that can be found deep within each of us. To Fall in love with Consciousness is to fall in love with Reality. Without the need for the masks, delusions or cognitive biases that keep us separate, angry and foolish.

There are 3 levels of consciousness which spiral us upwards from Contracted, then Expanded to then Pure Consciousness. If we have a contracted view of the world it is like thinking you have completed life’s 500 piece puzzle and you have that image in your mind. However, if life is a million piece puzzle you probably have the wrong image. An incomplete picture of yourself and reality. This is how we can become stuck in life. Stuck or depressed or anxious and fearful of life itself.

Human beings can and must rise beyond dualistic thinking to experience this higher state of conscious knowledge – being who we truly are. We know this to be scientifically and empirically true as this is how life is unfolding for everyone. When we rise in this way we will fall deeply in love with Reality (truth). Amor Conscientia! 

God Consciousness

God consciousness is calling us all and is leading the way home. This is what we mean by understanding the science of finding your spiritual self. This journey is the game of life that takes us from contracted consciousness to expanded consciousness and them to God consciousness. Our minds I’m not capable of understanding God. Probably not even gods name, the great I AM. We are all confused and divided about Gods name thousands of years into evolution. The horrid things we have done in Gods name are testament to the fact that we don’t know God.

What we need to do is become more conscious to start to know God. God is love and we are riddled in our natural state with fear. So that is the first task that we need to manage. We need to move from fear to love and understand why we need to do so. God is love and understand so we must become love also. God consciousness and Mind beyond matter is ultimately about a paradigm shift in thinking, feeling and being from fear to love and dark to light.

Christ Consciousness

John 1:1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. 2 He was with God in the beginning. 3 Through him all things were made; without him nothing was made that has been made. 4 In him was life, and that life was the light of men. NIV

Christ, which is not Jesus’s last name was there before anything was created, and all things in heaven and on Earth were created through Him and are held together by Him. Jesus reveals and makes it all known to us! All the stuff we cannot see, comprehend, fathom or make any sense of has been given to us, or should I say revealed to us. I want you to remember that Genesis is the first book of the Bible which of course is about the beginning. The last book of the Bible is called revelation. That is all that is happening friends. The revelation and unfolding of your consciousness every single day. Never again should you under estimate what an incredible and amazing gift it is to be a central part of creation which is still unfolding billions of years later. Awesome.

In Colossians 1:15 it states that Christ is the visible image of the invisible God.  NLT. Spirit made matter, explaining to you first hand this whole business of being human and spiritual by nature at the same time. This is mind over matter made manifest. This is the whole revelation. You are becoming more conscious and more like God. God is love and that is why He created you, to share the love. Nothing more or nothing less. God needs nothing and is sovereign, omnipresent, omnipotent and omniscient. So the deal is you get more and more consciousness every day, if you’ll accept it that is, so that you can become who you truly are.

The observable universe is around 93 billion light-years in diameter. You will never get to know much about matter or the universe. Barely do we understand our own ocean yet. Our own brains puzzle us as much as Gods name and at the end of the day we are better off selling our cleverness and buying bewilderment with the proceeds as Rumi suggested.

In conclusion and at this point of our ‘revelations’ or lives, we can know a few things. But, let me start with the biggest one for me. It’s all true. It’s all beauty, truth and goodness and beauty will save the earth as the Russian genius Dostoevsky suggested in his work aptly named ‘the idiot’. For Dostoevsky, “beauty” transcends aesthetics or matter, and is what inspires the best in us, our aspirations for what is good and true, and what connects us to each other.  

If you become still you will get to know God. Matter is a pointer. The sounds, birds, oceans and mountains were the first bible. Christ was the second bible, who as a way shower of light revealed the truth to us once more so that we could finally get it. The story Christ has shared through the first and second bible is of God’s amazing love, unmerited grace, and free offer of eternal life. The “The Kingdom of God is [already] Within You” which means that love, the grace and eternal life are already inside. All you have to do is be still, still the mind, and know God.

You will oftentimes hear me quote what may just be one of the best lines of wisdom and truth ever revealed to us. “Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is. There it is again! Namaste.
