The journey home in this life generally comes after some sort of deep shift in ones perspective. The death of a loved one, surviving a trauma or accident or living through divorce and betrayal can all be catalysts for our start on The Journey home. A journey that we all one day will have to take in one way or another. Life seems to insist on fulfilling its purpose for us which is clearly about becoming more conscious over time. We discover through experience who we are through trials and tribulations. The iron clad armour that once served to defend us as we walked into the world eventually rusts and falls apart. This is when its time to take the journey home.
