UNIVERSALLY CONNECTED

How everything is connected to everything else

Open your eyes and see what you can with them before they close forever.’

Anthony Doerr – All the light we cannot see.

This is a wonderful day to talk about recovering a deep sense of connection and how we are universally connected to everything else. Every day is! Let us start the section where we will concentrate on recovering a sense of connection with moving through space and time. Connectedness in terms of psychology is the thought that even though each person is their own distinct, physical being, people are also connected to each other and nature, not by language but just by having a deeper sense of being.

The broad connectedness definition is based on the phenomenon of emotional, physical, and cognitive experiences that people have stated they have had to sense feelings, harm, or awareness from others or nature. The concept concerning connectedness is applied in psychology as a sensation (5 sensory) or perception (extrasensory) where a person does not operate as a single entity. Yet, they are formed together to make another individual unit.

Everything is connected. This is a wonderful starting point because it is something we do not tend to think of very often. Nature itself is connected through time and space in many wonderful ways. Trees in the forest are able to get information about impending floods or fires from other trees and other living things. Entire forests connect and create a universal environment to make things work as best as possible. Scientists have discovered that fungus is used to send messages across the forests to signal for help, and even sick trees are looked after by stronger trees. This is being universally connected at a multi-billion-year-old level.

During an authentic human connection, people exchange positive energy with one another and build trust. Human connection makes you feel heard and understood and gives you a sense of belonging. Parent trees feed their saplings with liquid sugar and empathically warn their neighbors when danger approaches. The trees are very careful not to encroach on each other’s space too much and even share sunlight.

Science continues to discover linkages of how universally connected all things are. Not only forests connect and cooperate together. Everything does. There is a universal oneness that we are starting to be able to see with contemplative eyes.

Universally connected with Nature

The gulf stream in the Atlantic is a hundred times more powerful than the amazon and acts as a massive air conditioner amongst other things for countries as far away as the United Kingdom. Cooling and warming of the air is connected to our oceans which is connected to everything else. Entrainment for birds is another example of connection.

Then we have humanity. The introverted nature of modern Japanese society is making people become both introverted and depressed due to a steady decline in connection. Findings suggest that wrens, for example, a type of bird known as the king of birds, have an internal metronome as accurate as a highly-trained musician playing a solo. This bird-note connects them together and guides their complex patterns and rhythms much like an orchestra guides our souls into blissful and emotional peace. The story goes deeper still. These same scientists have also come to understand one of the reasons for the birds chirping so early in the morning is linked to plants. Fauna consciously meeting Flora in one big sonic bloom. The chirping of the birds sets the alarm with a certain frequency for the plants, who perhaps cannot see the light as well, to open up the plant cell stomata, which allows the plant to breathe for the day.

Nazis killing off 7 million jews whose gifts of entrepreneurship, creativity and industry that the world missed created changes that are still being felt today. As we put one together with one in a equation of history we can see that everything is connected. A greed for industrialisation increases global temperates and changes how bees operate. The stories could go on and on about the theme of us being universally connected to time, space and all things matter and energy

“Your personality represents the emotional and behavioural building blocks that shape how you think, feel and show up in the world”.

Dr Jordan Peterson

Nevertheless, our connections to people run deep and are teeming with archetypes. In fact they run through space and time, beginning to end. Your own ancestors’s smile is on your face and you may be quite shocked if you were to see the similarities of these ancestors in your family today. You are likewise also part of many people’s futures in more ways than we normally would think of. Your grandchildren’s children in your future will have a big part of you in them, even the decisions and choices you made. You will be playing roles that will direct their lives, hormones, genes and thinking patterns and even the way they handle problems. You will impact them from their brainwaves right through to their neurobiological patterns and even their microbiome connection will affect how long they will probably live. The type of personalities they develop will all have their origins in you.

Multigenerational connections are revealing a lot about potential environmental impacts on neurodevelopment. For example, as a female human being you are born with all your egg cells. Because you’re born with all your eggs, this actually means that your eggs were once inside your mother when you were a foetus in her womb. That means your mother carried the egg cells, which may one day be fertilised and grow into her own grandchild! It also means that each prenatal exposure has the potential to directly impact three or more generations.

Exposures to mice through potentially toxic environmental chemicals and other stressors in utero may affect the normal development, not just of the growing fetus, but of multiple generations to come. This means that connections run deeper than we realize. We have transmitted our trauma for generations, and the paradigm shift we are starting to see speed up globally in the world right now is happening at levels we couldn’t contemplate at first. The snowball effect of the industrialization age to the information and tech age we see now is changing the world. People have woken up from the invention of the printing press and electricity, among other things, and have changed the world with this snowball effect of revelatory knowledge.

We are universally connected socially on a scale as well. Social connection that comes from you and repeats in your children begins in infancy, and the connections formed between child and parent flow into the healthy social connections that are formed later in life as the child grows into adulthood. The way they fire and wire will be caught up in the way you wire and fire. This kind of connected stewardship of humanity has been happening since the times of Adam and Eve, and there still remains a little of Cain and Abel in all of us.

In conclusion

Rest in the fact that we are universally connected to everything in the contemplative field just like everything else is. Energy is in everything conscious and there is a galaxy of cells, information and infinite possibilities to everything. When one uses their contemplative intelligence to understand life we would realise one could never be bored.

Rest also in the fact that you can’t get there from here! In other words you cannot understand all these things analytically or in a 5 sensory capacity. You need contemplative intelligence to fathom the magnitude of consciousness, time and space as we are getting to know it. Take comfort in that and always remember, especially when afraid to trust the consciousness you cannot see.
